Health insurance
Health insurance is considered an important and yet optional while residing in India. The Indian students who want to study in Ireland should remember that health insurance is not an optional requirement in this case. Health insurance that provides accident cover and/or covers against any period of hospitalization. It is generally an essential document required at the time of applying for study visa for Ireland, and one needs to submit the proof of health insurance during immigration checks also.
Immigration registration
Indian students in Ireland would have to familiarise themselves with the Garda National Immigration Bureau (GNIB). This is the immigration registration body and all the non-EU students should register by paying an annual fee. Don’t forget to renew before time because there is a rush these days at Garda office.
Travel requirements
After the immigration registration at Garda, you should apply for a multi-entry visa if it is a single-entry visa. During your study duration, you may have to visit India and the last moment requirement may arise. It’s better to get it done in advance to avoid the last moment rush. You should ensure that all the necessary papers have been organized well.
